Welcome to the 2018 Season
On behalf of our entire team and coaching staff I want to welcome you to our upcoming season. Our belief is that we’ll continue to learn the game of softball and compete each day. We look forward to you joining us.
Whether your an incoming student-athlete, parent or potential player we encourage to join our mailing list. When you join we will send you a confirmation email to verify your mail address. Follow the instructions in the email and you’ll be all set to receive updates. Our messages are sent from email@example.com. Check your spam settings if you do not receive a verification email.

Additionally, we have an area on our site that is accessible to players only. Here we store information of a competitive nature. Players are asked to register to access.
Every student-athlete must submit the proper athletic paperwork prior to the beginning of the season. This includes reviewing the athletic code, filling out the proper permission forms and getting a physical. This paperwork is available on the high school athletic website.
Our winter workout program is on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6PM in the SLVHS weight room. These workouts are not sport specific and will improve overall fitness for all athletes. We focus on overall strength, flexibility and injury prevention. Workouts begin the first Monday or Wednesday in November and continue through the second week of January.
We encourage everyone to to play on our high school development team during the summer season. We gain a competitive advantage and a team bonding experience by playing together during the off season. Check out SPIN Softball for more information.
We encourage all of our student-athletes to participate in other sports during the fall and winter seasons. We feel you become a better athlete playing multiple sports and an athlete who participates in different sports gains the perspectives and values unique to each. We feel there is less risk of overuse injuries and and burnout playing multiple sports.
